I am in the process of listening to the audio book of the diary of Anne Frank. I absolutely love it. It is a bit sad and I know how it is going to end but I have been thinking about it all day long and I had a couple of thoughts I wanted to share.
Anne often talks about how she wants to be able to have some time alone. I sometimes wish for the same thing but every day I can get away by working out or going to work or hanging out with friends. She couldn't do that. It helps me to appreciate what I have.
She also makes a comment about how she is letting go of her style when writing in her diary. What an interesting concept to have a style when writing. Should I do that? I fear I would lose the frankness of my journal entries and risk glossing over some things because of writing too stylistically. Oh well, I just need to work on it and see if I can ramp up my style.
