THE VIRTUES OF PAPER
I have been thinking about all the many wonderful and wacky uses of paper. Like, paper can be used to change the world. Think the Declaration of Independence or the Bill of Rights or Civil Rights bills that Congress passed. What would the world be like without them? But paper can be used for less noticeable but equally important things as well. Writing poems, taking notes, writing rough drafts of books, making money, making toilet tissue (that totally changed the world for the better!), printing tickets for movies or Disneyland or awesome concerts like One Republic and Keith Urban...maybe I'm going on and on...but I just thought of a million more uses. What about origami, the art of paper folding? You can also take paper and fold it in this special certain way and make these things called water bombs that explode after you fill them up with water and throw them at people, like a sibling! You can also make amazing paper planes.... Anyway, I think paper is such a useful invention.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE...
One Republic! They are an awesome band and I am totally digging their latest song, "Secrets." I first heard this song during a concert they did on the Today show a matter of weeks ago. I think Ryan Tedder, Zach Filkins, Brent Kutzle, Drew Brown, and Eddie Fisher make a wonderful team together.
So what is it about this song that grabs me so much? Well, I've been thinking about it recently, and these are my thoughts.
What is the song about? My interpretation of it is that this person ("I" in the song) has been reclusive in his life so far and it isn't working for him. So he's going to try something different.
On another note, I like the sound of the song, the cello is amazing, (Brent, you do an awesome job) I love Ryan's voice, I like the lines in the second verse of the song that are sung so quickly that it makes them challenging to learn to sing them. It must be noted that learning every word to a song equals that I love it.
Congrats to One Republic and I will be a fan forever!

I must explain something...how my favorite movie is Borderline. You've probably never heard of it and that's because it's like a 50's classic noir kind of movie. I watched it when I was little and I fell in love with it. Without giving away too many details, it's about two agents for the American government who don't know that each other is an agent. They pretend to be married and then they fall in love. How they resolve all of this? well, you'll have to watch the movie and find that out for yourself!
Okay, this is my first post on my blog. To begin with, I am a person of...well, let's just say that I have lots and lots of interests. I love Doctor Who (in case you couln't tell!), I write poetry, I do lots of outdoor activities, I love to sleep (everyone does), I am a good cook, and I like reading women's magazines.
